Driven | Petrol & Pasties – Devon & Cornwall Tour

So this weekend we popped down to the West Country for our Petrol & Pasties tour of the finest roads Devon & Cornwall has to offer.
Up at the crack of dawn we tore up the tarmac on practically uninterrupted roads through Devon before crossing the border for breakfast at the famous Jamaica Inn.

From their we headed further South West deeper in Cornwall finishing up at the stunning 5* Carbis Bay Hotel for a spot of lunch and relaxing in the gorgeous Cornish sunshine.

We continued our journey, even deeper into Cornwall, away from the usual tourist hot spots, onto the Lizard Peninsular where we relaxed with a pint (the ladies chose Cocktails of course) whilst sat relaxing on the rocks listening to the sea crash below us. Simply stunning.

The next morning after a slight lie in we took advantage of more clear roads before visiting the most Southerly point. Not quite so sunny today so we didn’t stay too long before departing and heading back up the A30.

WOW, what a weekend. It’s been a blast, great roads, hotels, views, food and best of all with great friends. If Carlsberg arranged driving weekends… 🙂
